Participating Home Treatment Program

Our program is aimed at helping your body back to health, and to stay healthy. This can only happen if you are willing to make some changes and improve your lifestyle. We don’t strictly limit what you eat, just recommend some modifications to eat healthier and to relief stress on your body. If you are not willing to make any changes, it won’t work!

Reducing Stress

One of the most important factors in any chronic disease is stress. If you had always wanted to make some changes in life to reduce stress, this is the time to do it. If that was not yet an issue, this is the time to start thinking about it. If you always feel stressed out, can you make the necessary changes to slow down a bit? Running for a tight schedule everyday is detrimental to your health. The first thing you need to do is to find some time for yourself everyday. A short relaxation program is helpful to reduce stress. Meditation, Tai Chi or just sitting down and reading a book may help. Other mild exercises such as walking, aerobics, swimming are also helpful to reduce stress. A regular exercise program even just 10-20 minutes, twice a week will help. Yoga also helps to balance your energy, but don’t over do it to throw your back out. Lymphatic massage and tapping may help the body to drain the toxins out.

Modifying Diet

Food intolerance is one of the major stress factors to the body. The most intolerable foods are refined sugar, white flour and dairy product. Sugar includes white powdered sugar as well as chocolate, ice cream, soft drinks (diet product with aspartame is even worse), cake, candy, cookies, etc. You should control sugar intake. Do not eat them everyday! For small kids, this is even more important. Reducing sugar intake will reduce lots of ADHD related symptoms. In general, you should also reduce white flour and dairy intake. If you can't completely change your diet, taking digestive enzyme is probably your only choice to reduce diet stress to your body.

Improving your diet means you need a healthy diet. A healthy dietary plan includes mainly vegetables, fruit, fish and limited amount of meat, eggs and grains. Food additives such as preservatives and colorings are also very allergenic. Try to cook fresh food instead of eating packaged food. When you buy packaged food, you should at least read the label to avoid too many additives. We also recommend organic food to avoid pesticides. (Did you know that organic meat or natural meat tastes a lot better too?) Coffee, tobacco and alcohol are not only allergenic to most people but they tend to bring your immune system down by deposit toxin into your body as well. We recommend our patients to consider changing these habits.

Taking Remedies

There are two ways to take homeopathic remedies (drops). You can directly take a single dose under the tongue or add the whole day’s dose into a bottle of water and drink it throughout the day. Some conditions need to take the remedies every hour. Thus the water bottle approach is more practical. Don’t drink the remedy water with food, gum, mints, tobacco or alcohol.

Most of the homeopathic remedies are detox and drainage remedies. You may need to drink extra amount of water (8 glasses or more a day) to help the body detox. It is normal that your bowel becomes a little looser. One to three times a day is acceptable as long as you don’t feel uncomfortable. If other symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, skin rash and irritable appear during the time that you take remedies, you may reduce the dosage of the remedy to see if the symptom goes away. Some sensitive patients may experience detox reaction during detox process. It will go away after the body becoming more balanced. Drinking more water and taking more rest will help the symptoms. Most of the times the symptoms are not related to the remedies, but it’s still better to let us know about it. You may also read Homeopathic Detoxification Program for details. Homeopathic flower essences are emotional relief remedies. It is normal to experience more emotional changes such as cry after taking flower essences. As long as it doesn’t affect your everyday activity, you should continue to take the remedy.
